A poem about unrequited love, written in college. The author shares their experience of falling for a straight friend, a common but painful experience for queer individuals.
Wrote this in college during one of the most confusing and painful chapters of figuring myself out. I fell in love with my best friend, who was straight. It’s a common part of growing up queer, but damn, it still hurt.
