I have switched my entire perspective on AI. Everyone has been talking on the harmful side of AI meanwhile in reality AI has more positive impacts on making our lives safer and easier. Denying it would be the same as blaming washing machine for stealing jobs from humans, or using pigeons instead of messengers, or keep exploiting horses instead of driving cars. AI is not to blame for misuse of AI. For example, remember when there was huge outrage on the messenger Telegram because it was used by terrorists? People were blaming the founder Pavel Durov for creating such a secure messenger instead of blaming the system, which was obviously beneficial to the government since they all want to get rid of it anyway. AI doesn’t make people dumber, people choose to be dumb, people choose to not use their own brains and make their own decisions, people choose to consume poor quality content just like they’ve been choosing to consume poor quality products because of greed, people forgot how to value human labour way before AI. It impacts the environment? Water has always been inexhaustible resource, but we are polluting it at the enormous speed. So who is really to blame?
