That must take a huge amount of trust. I’ve never tried it but my partner has and says it’s one of the best experiences of his life (taking shrooms with some of his closest friends). How was your experience?

@justben - It does! I do them with a select few of my friends or solo. Typically an introspective experience when I do them solo and a fun one when doing them with friends. They seem to appreciate my nonstop stream of thought leaving my lips when I’m tripping since I’m soberly a very quiet person. I also did them with my ex, and I had some of what I’d still say were the best experiences of my life that I still reminisce about. But there were times where they were also a source of friction between us.

@subpartf do you recall any of the thoughts that came to you? I hear that it can have a healing effect of putting things into perspective- does that resonate with you?

@justben - I’d say so. It really just depends on where my head is at during the time, ygm? I once took them with my ex while on a very beautiful train ride through the Rockies in Colorado/Utah in here the states, and it made me realize that there’s a lot of beauty here that I haven’t seen; I don’t always need to seek it outside the US. Another was when I did it solo a few months ago, when the estrangement from my parents was still fresh. The trip made me feel compelled to focus on those who love and support me and to rebuild other relationships that I let slide. Had another that made me feel extreme empathy (which is a common feeling for me on shrooms/mesc). Was irritated with an older cashier at a grocery store I went to earlier that day (didn’t lash out at her or even give her attitude or anything—just lightly ticked off), and it crossed my mind while tripping and made me believe that she (and honestly all of us for that matter) was trying her best to get through life. I can go on and on! Those are just off the top of my head.
