Some of my other favorite shows that I can ( and have ) watched a bunch of times are Hemlock Grove, The 100, The original L Word, Umbrella Academy, You. Ragnarok, Skins UK, American Horror Story, True Blood, and Locke And Key. If you guys know any shows that are similar to these, LMK!

If you like classic fantasy, BBC’s Merlin is phenomenal. Had a cult tumblr following back in the day and is so queer coded it was almost canon

The 100. So good. Black Mirror is great. Sense 8 is amazing. Way ahead of its time, unfortunately.

@ruloo.46 Oh, I saw that! I loved it so much, but it was a TERRIBLE ending imo.

@chrissjacqq I agree. Good concept but so rushed, but I have grown to have an appreciation bc they didn’t modify that just to satiate the audience. Thats how it be sometimes

@dylpics Yes, The 100 was soooo good. I’ve heard great things about Sense 8 but it’s so short. That makes me hesitant lol.

Also, I haven’t watched it but I’ve heard that Orphan Black is a phenomenal dark scifi/drama series

@chrissjacqq because it got cancelled because it was way too ahead of it’s time. If it came out now it would be 8 season and a movie (there is a movie). They spend soooo much money on production for that series they almost bankrupt Netflix (not really but … like… it’s incredible!)

@dylpics Omg, that’s crazy. I hear you, Netflix seems to do that often. They can be so disrespectful and disappointing sometimes with these shows. Like there’s a show that came out called Half Bad, and it was cancelled after the first season. So good, yet so many unanswered questions. No closure, no nothing! HATED that. I’ll give Sense 8 a try, what do I have to loose? Lol

Queer as Folk (the US version from around 2000), Heated Rivalry (cuz I tell everyone to watch it), The Good Place (thoughtful and zany in equal balance), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the TV series - a classic).

@ruloo.46 That’s true, I guess it could’ve been worse. Lolol I definitely loved the show when it was airing though, me and my late bestfriend watched it together. We freaked out when it ended, we were so sad.

Oh, and Wednesday was pretty good too.

@shiraleh Buffy I’ve seen in passing growing up, but I was more of a Charmed girly. I suppose I could give it a go for ol’ time sake. My aunt was obsessed with Queer As Folk, but I never paid it any mind. I’ll have to look up to see if I can vibe with it. Heated Rivalry is on my list, I just need the hype to dim down a lil bit. Lol never heard of The Good Place though.

@chrissjacqq I would definitely recommend starting Buffy from episode 1 - you kinda have to commit through the end of season 2 because season 1 is a little more campy and they were still getting their footing. It’s SO GOOD though. Queer as Folk was great - I never watched it when it was originally on and I wish I had. Oh, if you like gentle and sweet to the point of occasionally cloying but in a good way, Heartstopper is lovely. It’s the show my generation deserved as teenagers and never got. The Good Place is excellent, but stay away from spoilers and just start from the beginning. It’s a comedy and it’s one of my favorite shows ever, but requires a very specific sort of sense of humor.

@shiraleh I can try my best on Buffy, lol Trixie Mattel ( who I love ) is obsessed with it too. Heartstopper I’ve seen. It was definitely really cute. I enjoyed it. I’ll have to look into The Good Place also. Read some descriptions that don’t spoil too much hopefully lol

Would love to know what you think if you watch it! Yay, I love Heartstopper. The movie comes out in July!

@chrissjacqq they decided to do a movie instead of a fourth season. It’ll be out on Netflix in mid-July.

@chrissjacqq I’m not sure actually, but it makes a lot of sense. My guess would be costs and schedules.
