Omg my heart’s with uuu 💗 hope it goes amazing! I’m not the best gym-tips person, but starting slow after a long break is honestly the smartest move. U got this babes ✨🔥 — respectfully, a tired AF medical student hanging on by a single serotonin molecule 😭💗

@courtless thanks! I didn’t take it easy and I will probably regret it for a week. Will provide updates if I make it through the night. You ALSO got this 🥰

@dylpics okay Mr Gym Boss returns… don’t ever do that again, u gave me a fright 😭 you’ll get through the night, just listen to ur body and hydrate a ton cause Lordy knows gym returns are brutal. Take a bit of time to relax, the strain will be there but u got it. Cold and hot packs are never wrong for recovery. Trust!! And thank uuu 💗

@dylpics oh… okay yeah someone needs to invent teleportation cause I’d come grab u a glass myself. But fr if ur home alone take it slow, one foot in front of the other. No shame holding onto walls or furniture for support. Grab a full bottle so u don’t have to get up again tonight. Rest that body pls.

Your muscles DO have memory and it will be easier to regain muscle that you’ve lost, but be patient with yourself. You’re not competing with anybody except yourself. 💪🏼 don’t push too hard too soon. And remember: You’re strong!!!

@dylpics Woooooo!! Ur body said ‘let’s get back into the swing of it’ and it did so well. A 3/10 soreness on day 2 is amazing 💕

Good for you! The first time back is the hardest. Then you just need to make it a habit.

Take it easy at the beginning I have heard that people who go back to the gym after a while and over train can get rhabdomyolysis 😵‍💫 so be careful ❤️💜🩵💙🩷

@hando so far so good. Definitely not as strong as I used to be. Been going 2 days a week on average and my progress is more noticeable than it has ever been. I used to workout 5 days a week for 2-4 hours a day but I guess what I really needed to be doing was balancing that with moderately healthy eating (and no drinking).
