Went on a date yesterday. It was nice. Nothing felt wrong. But when I left, I sat by the sea alone and realized I wasn’t looking forward to seeing that person again. And that’s what confuses me. I don’t have trouble meeting people. I just don’t seem to feel what everyone else feels when they meet someone they want to keep in their life.

Week one of my sabbatical. My travel companion has strong opinions about the itinerary and refuses to contribute financially.

Many years depicting myself as “the wrong one”. At school, at parties, with friends and family. Always the different one. Always the outcast. Then I look at this picture of myself taken on a drinking spree, and I see just a guy. Just a guy who wants to be happy. Just a guy who wants to be taken care of.
