everyone is stressing over the song of the summer but i think i have a few that could claim the spot; part 1 1. girl of your dreams - eli super cute, fun, and fresh. a nod to the recession pop (we’re so back) and it’s queer which is what we always need more of. also the marketing in itself for eli is so genius and it’s all eli’s doing which makes it even better! 2. pretty when i cry or baby pink - camila cabello hear me out, i hated this album when it first came out but (as previous post mentions) some things take time to digest and the current climate we’re in, these songs are giving me life! i think it’s her time to shine (it’s been since Havana, let’s give her this) 3. relationships or spinning - haim i know this is a long shot cause they aren’t technically pop girlies but these are stand alone songs that hold their own pop element power in comparison to the whole album as a whole. i def think relationships stands a better chance than spinning but these could be potential songs of the summer if we continue streaming and push for it. 4. trouble for me - britney spears recession pop is among us, why not make this hit an actual hit!
