Week one of my sabbatical. My travel companion has strong opinions about the itinerary and refuses to contribute financially.

Went on a date yesterday. It was nice. Nothing felt wrong. But when I left, I sat by the sea alone and realized I wasn’t looking forward to seeing that person again. And that’s what confuses me. I don’t have trouble meeting people. I just don’t seem to feel what everyone else feels when they meet someone they want to keep in their life.

Recently single… thank god but I learnt so much in the 9 month period I feel like I could write a book

Many years depicting myself as “the wrong one”. At school, at parties, with friends and family. Always the different one. Always the outcast. Then I look at this picture of myself taken on a drinking spree, and I see just a guy. Just a guy who wants to be happy. Just a guy who wants to be taken care of. Just a guy that sees love in every corner. A guy who believes in kindness as the key of our existence. Just Gab. Cheers to you 🥂

Today it’s 4 years since I drank alcohol for the last time. Life is so much more beautiful for it.
