imo they can do whatever they want and create whatever baiting content they want, the problem is that gay ppl subscribe to their OF or studios hire them giving them opportunities to be in scenes with actual queer performers. but just like with anything, if paying subscribers don't support them or the studios they work for then they won't continue being used

Fine with it as a kind of porn among the very many different kinds of porn. Some people like the idea that it’s a straight man doing gay things. If straight men were the only people making gay porn and openly gay people had little opportunity to play any roles, like when gay characters in films were mainly stereotypes played by straight (or closeted) men, that would be a problem.

@schmoo i also wonder how gay4pay someone is when ur prolific at doing it like some of the big name studio guys or OF/twitter guys r. at some point it's js a label versus admitting that ur actually bi or gay. when u have made tens or hundreds of scenes with guys, yes u might be getting paid for doing it but at some point u can't say it's only abt the money and it's a life choice to do it. imo it's one thing to go through a phase where maybe for a few months or a year a str8 guy decides to get with guys or create content that would appeal to a queer audience but when u have decided to do it for years or even a third or half ur life, idk if u can rly say that ur only engaging in the gay lifestyle for the $$$. ive been a vegetarian or vegan a few times in my life for weeks or months at a time but if i were to decide to give up meat or animal products for years or more than a decade then i don't think i would describe myself as someone who only occasionally swears off meat lol.

@henryttjva yeah. To me the self-identification of a person doesn’t matter so much as what they do. If a straight man wants to shoot scenes endlessly with other men while living an otherwise straight life and call himself straight, great. Identities mean different things to different people. Problems creep in when a) a g4p actor is actively homophobic in their daily life, which happens, or from another angle b) viewers begin to expect that because someone has sex with men for pay on camera they should have sex with men off of camera. When whatever fantasy there is in watching porn turns into a sense of entitlement over the actor’s desires and actions. For porn workers, porn is work, and it’s devalued work, including by consumers (like me sometimes oop) who watch pirated versions for free!

I feel uncomfortable, because. Why are you marketing yourself to an audience that you know finds you attractive. But you as the person is not gay, and is really only doing it for cold hard cash. So in other words, using others attraction for your own benefit which is just cash and no tie to gay people generally. I find it vary unsettling for those reasons.
