Oh, hell yeah! Congratulations! How did it go? In my case, the anxiety I felt before was not justified. My parents handled it very well, especially given my family is religious and Southern.

@casbahmike it went better than I thought! My parents are extremely religious, so they don't support me and are praying that I'll "go back to normal". But it's a huge relief that I can finally say "my partner" instead of "my roommate" etc!

I turned 28 two months ago, and I've just realized that for the past five years I was trying to see the whole world, driven mostly by pain and unresolved conflicts from traumatic experiences in my past. Along the way, I reached incredible heights, but it still wasn't a life of joy and real happiness. It was an escape, not the kind of creating I always wanted my life to be about.
