Quick sketches

As a movie guy who can not do cinemas here are some of my favourite spooky movies for October :) - Return to Oz (1985) - Trick or Treat (1986) - Donnie Darko (2001) - Jan Svankmajers Alice (1988) - Pan’s Labyrinth (2006) - The Machine Girl (2008) - Scream (1996) - Ravenous (1999)

You all gotta run watch this

Mercury / Hermes (detail) wood engraving by Jonnard (1866) after William Blake Richmond

I have at least two more ideas for this print; firstly roughness following the colour scheme from the sketch (challenging!) and another mostly in iron oxide red with a little black. Will probably do an all black one if the plate holds up. (Does anyone actually read this? If you do don’t be shy about saying hi!)
