Tough one to decide on. Love the emotional connection to Star Wars and watching with family, which is also true of Scent of a Woman. Shawshank Redemption also up there as a great. And any Wallace and Gromit film too!

The most philosophical one is Forrest Gump. Then you have the Lord of the Rings, the first 3 Pirates of the Caribbean. Of course Nolan movies like Inception or Interstellar. A couple of comedy ones like Les Intouchables or Rush Hour.

@kulbs I keep threatening to give Star Wars another go, I’ve only watched one of the films the whole way through… Episode One 😂 I might have to try again.

@jcp Forrest Gump is one of my all time favourites. I’ve only seen the first Lord of the Rings. My parents got me The Hobbit to read one Christmas and I loved it. My dad took me to the cinema to watch the first LOTR and I fell asleep. Think I might give it another go soon.

@livindie I’ve not watched The Help, I’ll definitely add it to the list.

@cjf oh, the prequels were weak compared to the original 3. Try episode 4 - for some movie magic before the CGI vision took over the actual story telling. It’s also rooted in childhood memories and experience, so it may not resonate in the same way. Good luck!

@oyejuan Moulin Rouge❤️ My parents first trip to the cinema together was to see E.T. It’s a family favourite. Clockwork Orange is great. I used to drink in a place called Korova Bar. Go on give me another four.

@cjf well it made me cry from the way how the two main characters fell out of love and other things that happen in the movie. I also wouldn’t say it’s fully a rom-com though either.

@cjf I like how the movie is shot as if you are watching someones dream. Went in blind and at the rewatch I made my friends go in blind as well. And you will not be prepared for anything that happens in the movie tbh. It’s a ride for sure lmao
