A few days ago I got in an argument with somebody on here about the fact that this app is meant to help flesh out who you are. I agree, this should not just be a camera roll dump of hot pictures, but a more holistic picture of “who are you” I find it especially frustrating when a profile has like only 10 pictures that are a mix of selfies and body pictures. That is the kind of content that makes it harder to make friends. Especially if were judging each-others bodies and not understanding that we both like kafka and weird niche interests, etc. Commenting, idk. In the spirit of old tumblr. I feel like people dont get it. Maybe culture has changed. It feels like people are scared to comment. Wishing the culture in collective was more similar to that of reddit. 100% agree, if we can avoid a pic dump. We should. And make friends while we’re at it.

Honestly I think it’s too late, I’ve tried and it never really goes anywhere it’s like there’s some kind of attention fall out. It’s like don’t ask me for personal question or act interested if your not gonna keep kindling the flame. Wish acquiring friends was as easy as getting nudes from guys 😔

@tempson Totally agree. Sometimes overly curated profiles can make people feel intimidated to comment, give a compliment, or even start a conversation. But there are still some of us who are genuinely open to chatting and uplifting others. I hope you keep finding people here who share that same mindset.

@lav I get what you mean. It can be discouraging when people seem interested at first but don’t put in the effort to keep the conversation going. I’m always happy to chat and make a new friend. If you ever feel like talking, I’m here :) and lol agree on the nudes part 😂🫣
