So, if you start following someone you can state your intention with them. If they follow you back and care to state their own intention, the app will nudge you both to chat. As with any social app, however, I find that connection should build naturally. I know it’s counterintuitive with Collective and its obsession with pushing people together, but browse the search tab, see whose posts you like, interact with them, see what happens. Maybe they’ll indulge, maybe not. If not, don’t force it.

@raulorgz For me, I like bearing my soul… stream of consciousness, rapid fire. Others like curating “it” boy feels. At the end of the day it’s about hopefully making real connections. So, post something that feels real to you. 🫶🏽 just come as you are

I am definitely struggling a bit with the amount of information / how’s it displayed. I feel like this app strays away from some of the typical formatting of other similar social apps, which I actually appreciate, so I’m hoping it just takes some time getting used to. The notification page is kinda overwhelming to me as is; I hope they add some toggles or a way to organize different types of notifications. @collective

@raulorgz I have a lot of hope for the app though! I think people are enjoying the connections and forum-feel of it. Speaking of, I also wish discussions were categorized a bit too.
