Why are so many gay men “non-political”? You’re literally gay. The reason you’ve got the rights that you have today is because of the political battles people had to fight before you. My theory is that it stems from a place of immense privilege which mainfests as oblivion, all of which imo is very ugly.

I guess I just don’t understand how does one reconcile being gay and being apolitical? It makes no sense. Not having opinions is extremely unattractive.

💯 Honestly, I have no time for any queer who isn’t political. Every inch of safety we have was fought for, and every inch the next generation will have we gotta fight for now, presently. How that doesn’t bring people to the table to get involved is beyond me.

it’s crazy to me that in the world we live in someone still says they are non-political (not even getting to the craziness about a queer person saying that)… being “non-political” it’s the biggest and worst political stance you could have nowadays - worse than, idk, a ultra conservative bitch in Alabama 😛

@joaovfm I live in London and it’s SO bad. I don’t even know where to start. Privilege can honestly be extremely blinding.
