It’s a real shame that it’s the end of 2025 we still have split terminology based on colour. Like trans/ gay/ lesbian/ bi/ pan/ ally people are human! how could any of those listed options not be any HUMAN skin type/ colour. I also agree with your point tho xx

@michenoble that and racism is a very real thing in most world contexts. (other versions: colorism) and that has tangible implications for transgender women who are racialized as non white. Or people for that matter. But I am specific to whom I am speaking about, because this statement is about advocacy and in my case research. In epidemiological research in the U.S. there is the use of “TWOC” which has almost defaulted to mean Black and Latina TW. Our corporeality has been pathologized claiming to identify health inequity. But yes you are right! Both are right! Your statement/thought, and if you flesh out your thought process-position (some might call it argument) is starting from a slightly different theoretical framework. It becomes a question of epistemology.
