gay dance club/bars. yeah it was fun in my 20s, but why cant we have elevated gay cocktail lounge spaces? martinis and champagne in real glasses. beautiful food not fried bar food. anywhere i want to go is a beautiful hotel lounge and restaurants, none of which are (gay). why do all gay neighborhoods have to look like rundown places. where is the sophisticated locations for the gays who dont want to be in overly loud/crowded bars being pushed by new young gays and all their drunk gf’s?

@briant I was literally having this conversation with a friend last night. I went to a nightclub with friends and I will be the first to say that it’s not generally my scene and I don’t enjoy it. One of my friends is similar to me and doesn’t enjoy the club scene as much either, granted they have their place and are a good time every now and then. However, I love an elevated cocktail experience and after last night being in the club pushed up against other bodies, I wondered why we can’t have a classy gay speakeasy type bar where cocktails are an art and talking to each other doesn’t involve yelling over dance music 😅 I feel everything you said and I’m ready to change it! Haha
