Anyone else here struggle with PTSD or CPTSD? Asking from the perspective of someone who has CPTSD along with trust issues and has always struggled with identity do to social upbringing. If anyone here has PTSD or CPTSD, how do you heal or feel better emotionally? I haven’t been great mentally do to recent economy, and I’m just fed up with negativity. There is to much of it and it’s throwing me off balance even when I do breathing exercises or affirmations. Any advice would be appreciated.

I don’t know if this would help. I just realized I have some form of PTSD, from some choices I made in my life… but I actively meditate everyday for 20 minutes, 50 minutes on Mondays. I take ten super slow breaths- on the inhale I try and inhale as much as possible, and then hold it for four seconds. The same with the exhale. I try and push out all of the air as much as I can and then hold for four seconds. What that does is it brings consciousness to the farthest most part of sensation, because by the fourth second I almost feel like I’m going to die, which oddly enough where we all feel the most alive. During this time I try and push out all fears, doubts, worries, at least the feeling of it, and try to nurture calm, during that feeling of dying… it’s.. for me, transformative. Afterwards I journal. I write whatever comes to my heart and mind until it’s exhausted. And then even on days I don’t want to write, I write anyway. Cause I believe this is where the transformation occurs. Hope this helps. 🫶🏽 🫶🏽 🫶🏽

@juvenlee_surrealart It does thank you, my CPTSD has just been worse do recent societal issues that tie into past also it’s just to much to where it’s weighing me down. And to make it worse I have people in my life who don’t read the signs who just except things out of me, even though it’s obvious I’m doing the best I can. Communicating to, it’s just not being heard out all the way by others. Other then my therapist, some friends kinda, and my therapy like apps. Thank you once again, hope your ptsd doesn’t come at you like Ghost Face, because that’s what my CPTSD is like. Unfortunately.

@gavinakagriffin. It has its moments… I just… it’s a lesson I learned midway through my life… not to sound abysmal, but the greatest changes you have to do will be alone. A lot of living is done alone… not in a negative way. It was daunting at first to realize but after I came to understand it, it’s become empowering for myself… …and during this loneliness… not that you do this but maybe… also… don’t blame others, or strike out at others. For myself I seemed to do that when I didn’t understand how much of life is done by yourself… hope this all makes sense 🫶🏽 🫶🏽 🫶🏽 I know it will get better because you are a strong and capable man. ❤️
