You say hello, how are you doing? Ask them if they’re having fun, and then tell them a story. It should be a little off the cuff, a little funny, and just a tad bit revealing… depending on how they react; if they react positively you offer to buy them a drink. And then ask them what brought them out that night. If they react indifferent or negatively, or look at you like get out of here.. you just smile and say cheers! And walk away, back to your friends. That way it seemed like just a random human experience and you save face… ❤️
