My absolute favorite is an obscure one. The 1995 film Stonewall, directed by Nigel Finch and starring Guillermo Diaz and Fred Weller. Amazing use of period music.

Arrival is my favourite love story. A Single Man is beautifully done. In the Mood for Love is a master piece if you love beautiful cinematography and score. I have a bunch of queer films I can recommend too
