About

My apartment starts to feel like a charming and welcoming place to live in. Just did the dishes after a week of stopping life due to the heatwave. Idk you guys but the only thing I’ve done this infernal last week is try to breath, catch a glimpse of fresh air and not move in order not to sweat. I hate doing the dishes. Next goal, the mountain of clothes on the chair. Courage.

Not sure this will reach anyone since I’m not a “premium” member but I live a pretty sober life other than little wine here and weed there. Living a predominantly sober life complicates dating and just generally meeting other men specially in our community where heavy drugs seems to be glamorized. How do you navigate this if you’re sober?

Ariana is right that anxiety and depression meds can make you feel disconnected from yourself, and for fans who are struggling with body image, the healthiest response is to resist projecting that pain outward and instead redirect it inward with compassion, support, and honest self-reflection. Bodies change, healing is rarely linear, and people do far better when they focus on recovery, stable routines, trusted relationships, and professional help rather than turning their discomfort into judgments about someone else or themselves.

The biggest critics of feminine gays are often the same people who spend the most time insisting they’re masc.

Navigating polyamory alone (ironically) has been really difficult. I have no one close to me that have this experience, and a very heterocentered friend group. If anyone want to connect on this journey and share their experiences with me maybe we can help each other 🥲❤️

Has anyone read “The Picture of Dorian Gray”? If so, did you also find it awfully boring in the beginning? Wilde is setting up the story and getting the scene set for action I’m assuming, but his prose leaves me wanting for more. The pacing is also slow. Please tell me it gets better 🥹

🌿Botany facts🌿: pteridophyte (ferns, selaginellaceae, lycophyte and horsetail) is not a valid group of plants, since we don’t know about their “kinship relations” and how we can relate it with plants in general; pretty cool, right?!

Inspired by @collective to put this out there. I would love to trade and collab on making music with people on Collective, so if you know how to use a DAW and produce/play instruments, I have songwriting abilities and ideas that need help getting a pen to paper with music behind it. I can play basic piano chords but need someone with more experience who wants to make music together. Inspos for writing and sound quality: jazz and alternative pop, folk, singer-songwriter, concept, RAYE, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Lana Del Rey, Joni Mitchell, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Melanie Martinez, Zara Larsson, Mariah Carey, Jordy, David Bowie, Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Zee Machine, David Archuleta, Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Pink, Kate Bush

We have a couple next-door who are in their 90s and live alone. A couple months ago, I had to pick up the husband after he fell and this morning I had to pick up the wife after she fell in the kitchen. All I know is, all this working out at the gym has been damn useful and not just for me. ❤️😊

Why is finding others hard, I’m generally confused at times with social interactions with others. Sometimes I miss the cues or I’m lost in space before I’m even hearing the next sentence. Though, I blame my ability to connect with others. I’ve only ever been close with my friends since I met them, but I truly need to find better ways to communicate with others, especially in this community.

Dear @collective Can we pretty please with a 🍒 (my fave) on top— get different music sharing platforms? I like that we can share—but Spotify itself leaves a lot to be desired. Take what you will from that, but I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way 👀

A Big Update to Collective: The neighborhood bar just got a lot more room to talk We're trialing a big upgrade to how members connect and share! We've created a dedicated Discussions Tab. Think of it as the digital version of your favorite neighborhood queer bar where you can talk to other queers about absolutely anything. It’s a dedicated sanctuary for text posts, questions, and community updates. You can now scroll through a focused feed to see what people are actually talking about and join the conversation in real time. The new Discussions tab is available for most people today and rolling out to everyone later this month. We’ve also doubled the character count for text posts to 3,500 characters. You now have the space to share creative manifestos, dive into your artistic process, or describe niche projects in detail. When you can show more of your queer self, you can find your next bestie, collaborators for your next creative "side quest" or professional project. We've also made it much easier to find new people to follow and connect with. You can scroll through the community and see more of a member’s profile before you decide to follow. This improved visibility helps you move past the digital noise and find the matches that actually matter to you. If you aren't seeing these new features yet, don't forget to update the app in the App Store.

Why does everyone ask the same questions here when we get to talking and trying to get to know people like I’ve had the same conversations with people here over and over with different people every day. It’s exhausting lol we gotta find more stuff to talk about

No one really talks about queer burnout. This season, I leaned in and sat with that feeling for a while, unpacking how the constant performance many of us have been doing our entire lives can become incredibly heavy. When I was younger, I thought Pride was supposed to feel loud and vibrant. I imagined adulthood as this glamorous arrival point where authenticity would eventually become effortless, especially once I moved somewhere like New York, where freedom feels like the default mode when you CRANK IT in these streets. In many ways, it has been. But the older I get, particularly as a queer creative working in industries obsessed with image, culture, and identity, the more Pride has started to feel quieter, heavier, and infinitely more honest than I ever expected.
