About

one thing that frustrates me about going to uni for art (and specifically fashion) is that i have to cycle through ideas and concepts way too quickly for my taste idk, i think that expecting “established fashion house” levels of work from students (most working alone) and giving them a tiny fraction of the time it took *a big brand* to work on it is just setting us up failure and burnout

Now is the time for a social spring cleaning Spring cleaning usually involves clearing out closets, but your social life might be due for a reset as well. Many of us are experiencing a specific kind of exhaustion from Big Tech feeds that prioritize influencers over actual connection. It is time to move away from mindless scrolling, swipe fatigue and toward a social life that actually fulfills you. This spring, clear the social clutter and find the queer people that will yum your yum. Try leaning into your hobbies as a way to find your tribe. Finding people through shared interests is the most reliable way to build a community. Collective was built as a healthy, friendlier alternative to toxic social media precisely for this reason. It is a space designed for meeting new people and building real networks. Being intentional with who you hang out with is a form of self-care. Use the app to find more queer friends who match your current energy. Set your intentions and find that new, exciting circle to explore the city with. By clearing out the digital noise, you make space for the genuine connections that matter.

So do ya’ll actually use the “friends” or “date” option when following someone? I know it’s not a contract, but of course I have to chat before I consider one of those.

Today I chose to put my two weeks notice in at my Starbucks job that has been sucking my joy and making me miserable. I don’t have anything set to take its place, financially, but I know I’ll get there. Maybe now the other jobs I do that I love will now really take off.

bruh this is why i don’t like dating apps, cuz how am i supposed to show you all of my layers in one profile????? like i’m haifa wehbe sometimes, then again che guevara, but also a complete nerdy and geeky guy? yet also a jealous possessive melanie martinez? then again a peaceful plant dad, but also a completely traumatized the pretty reckless?? it’s like a mystery box, try to open it and see what you get

HI QUEER Without you, the world is bland. WE need you here with us. Be visible. Be present. You have a uniqueness within you no hetero possesses. Your presence is more important than you know. You simply existing is comforting to all other queers. Whether you’re a barista, a nurse, a retail worker, an uber driver, musician, teacher, sanitation worker, etc. When a queer person sees you simply existing… they know they belong here too. I love you. You’re doing everything right, I promise.🏳️‍🌈
