About

Not sure if other LGBTQ+ men feel this way. But I can’t wait to be a dad down the line. Being a dad would undoubtedly be the most incredible job I could imagine! I envision a life where my kids always know I’m in their corner, cheering them on at every milestone—from their first steps to high school graduations. I picture myself standing in the audience, beaming with pride as they receive their awards, or sitting beside them as they navigate the ups and downs of adolescence. When they face challenges, whether it's a tough exam or a broken heart, I’ll be there to offer comfort, support, and guidance. They’ll never have to wonder if I’m present in their lives; I’ll be the steady presence in their day-to-day experiences, from weekend soccer games to family movie nights, always ready with a word of encouragement or a listening ear. My goal is to instill in them confidence and resilience, ensuring they know I believe in them unconditionally, no matter what life throws their way.

What is a queerplatonic relationship? Does your connection with your bestie feel more on a soulmate level than just friendship, without any desire to date them? If so, lucky you! You may be experiencing queerplatonic attraction, which can form the basis of long-term relationships that are just as meaningful and emotionally supportive as romantic partnerships. Understanding the term The term queerplatonic relationship, or QPR, originated in the asexual community as a way to describe relationships that were deeper than friendship but non-romantic or non-sexual (depending on the person). Today, the term is defined as a significant emotional relationship that transcends the traditional boundaries of friendship, without the pressures of romantic dating. Some QPRs are non-sexual, but still incorporate physical intimacy like hand-holding and cuddling. Each relationship is tailored to the needs of the people involved, with no outside societal guidelines to follow, letting you define it on your own terms. Why QPRS are important QPRs prove that non-romantic connections are just as enriching, and challenge the notion that romantic connections should be considered the most valuable. They offer stability, emotional support, and a unique closeness that allows for personal growth outside the tricky navigations of romantic love. And most importantly, queerplatonic relationships teach us to prioritize and make time for all the different types of love in our lives. After all, Carrie’s soulmate wasn’t ever Mr. Big, it was her girls!

Is not being able to “ask” for help a sign of strength or weakness?

come home to me if you ever find yourself homesick for me, know that I still remember the sound of the keypad beeping by the front door. don’t hesitate to come back, punch in the code and walk through like you never left. I remember your favorite foods, what I used to cook for you, what we ordered when neither of us felt like cooking. I won’t ask you to explain. I won’t acknowledge the absence of you all these months or your sudden reappearance. instead, I will ask what you’re in the mood for, whether I should start cooking or just call it in. don’t be afraid to come home to me. I am still here. I’ve been listening for those familiar beeps since the day you walked out and didn’t come back in.

After Solitude, the Body — This solitude is deep— ancient, intimate, almost primordial— and has gathered me into itself, as though the entire world were a single, unbreachable embrace. And yet, what is the flight of a bird beside this? How much purer, how immeasurably more innocent the body when it becomes only air, only departure. Still, there are moments when the touch of a hand, the nearness of another body, awakens every atom in me— one by one, as though my flesh were a sleeping constellation suddenly remembering its stars. And then the kiss upon my mouth— that kiss which, without blinking, discovers everything my waiting has concealed: the secret architecture of desire, all the small, trembling expectations I had buried beneath the ordinary hours. All of it— all of it is mine. Your tongue moving across my body writes a fire there, an alphabet of intimacy that no solitude has ever been able to decipher. Your fingers— your whole being entering the grammar of mine; your saliva becoming indistinguishable from my own; your lips finding my lips; your body dissolving against my mouth. And as I surrender myself to that hunger, I find myself wondering— is this what a life is? To spend an eternity learning the difference between being alone and being, for one incandescent moment, completely inhabited?

Sometimes find it very easy for me to tell when someone hasn’t experienced much, if any, kind of hardship in their life. Not the case every time, but in my experience, they tend to be dull, have a bland sense of humor, have a lack of empathy/curiosity about people or the world, and, most commonly, have this jarring sense of entitlement that’s disproportionate to their effort/work ethic and shows that they’re not used to anyone telling them “no.”

I have a coat that’s the one from the matrix (lined with the matrix print). I also live in Sydney so sometimes it’s fun wearing it in the same locations and pretending. I swear I’m normal.

Good news, guys! I was told that my lymph nodes are clear, which is a huge relief. I still have to wait to find out whether I’ll need any chemotherapy, but for now, I’m taking this as a win. One step at a time. 💪🏼

With everyone talking about going back to physical media, there’s a part of my brain that’s shouting “HOORAY MY BOARDERLINE HOARDING HABITS ARE ACTUALLY PAYING OFF!!!”… Anyone else feel that way? Or is this a problem that I need to address to my therapist? 😆😖

For me having an intimate relationship with just anyone ( causal) has never being my craving . And I think that’s where we get it wrong s*x is just causal fling ,while intimacy is making love you can never fully get the pleasure you seek from just causal s*xual fling but only with the person you love

Unpopular opinion: “I remember” feels more romantic than “I love you.” Because love can be a feeling you say in the moment, but remembering means you paid attention. And somehow, that feels more intimate than love itself.

Why do gay men fall in love so fast? What does too fast actually mean? Is it love or lust that we confuse both with? And is it truly “falling in love too fast” what needs to be addressed or maybe the questions underneath are the ones we rarely ask and harder to sit with? Maybe the real conversation is hidden in what we're falling from...and what we're falling toward. These questions keep coming back at me. Its like an endless loop that I’d love if someone can help me understand 🙈🥰

One of the many questions I think about from time to time: In gay culture, how much of what we call our ‘’type’’ do you think is genuine attraction, and how much of it do you think we’ve been taught to find attractive?

Sometimes starting over and wiping the slate clean is the only way to step into a new life. Learning to hold new beginnings and new chapters with excitement and anticipation like reading your favorite book.

A lot of people complain they don’t have the love that they deserve, but are they actually trying to have something worthwhile? A relationship takes work and it requires compromise and sacrifice. And keeping it just between the two of you is even more beautiful. Temptations are everywhere.

Is there an app for LGBTQ+ allies? Real allyship is integral to a healthy society, but finding a digital space that balances queer sanctuary with genuine support can be a challenge. Most Big Tech platforms are too noisy, and traditional dating apps are too siloed. If you’re searching for a social app designed with both queer connection and comfortable allyship in mind, it is time to talk about Collective. It is a private social app created to facilitate a more authentic way to meet people online. While helping the LGBTQ+ community find their village is the primary mission, you don’t have to be queer to be a member. The blueprint of the unbothered ally In 2026, we’ve moved past performative gestures. It’s time to move to Unbothered Allyship, the kind of support modeled by people who treat queer culture and affection with total ease and humor. Collective welcomes these allies, along with those who are questioning or unsure about their identity. The emphasis is on bridging divides and fostering a frequency of togetherness. It’s about building a village where everyone understands the value of the sanctuary. The etiquette of the guest Being an ally in a queer-centered space comes with its own set of social rules. It is about acknowledging your place as a supporter and guest. Honestly, the best allies are the ones who show up with grace and zero ego. Supporting the independent sanctuary Collective is 100 per cent independent and owned by a small queer team. In an era where corporate giants are buying up queer apps to mine data or sanitize our spaces for advertisers, staying independent is an act of resistance. If you’re an ally who has joined the community, the best way to show support is through a paid membership if you have the means. Think of it as the digital equivalent of tipping the performers at a drag show. It’s good etiquette, and it helps the village continue to operate without having to sell out to Big Tech. Your financial contribution ensures that the community doesn't have to pay a "Toll" to exist in a safe space. It keeps the sanctuary independent, bot-free, and focused on real-deal connection. Inviting the allies who just get it The community is always stronger when the right people are in the room. If you’re a queer member with an ally friend who shares your frequency and thrives in creative, camp environments, invite them to join you. Collective is a home for queer expression and creativity where members can find everything.
