This new wave of Republican gays has been incredibly heartbreaking to witness as a queer person who had to escape a genocide as a child, and come to this country for some peace. Only to reach age 30 and watch my comrades and coworkers and neighbors who are all minorities, slowly turn into bootlicking republicans who suck up to the rich white cis straight man.
