“Even When It Hurts” I liked you. More than I meant to. More than you ever planned for. And now I’m learning that sometimes the heart runs ahead while the other person never even takes a step. It hurts. It really hurts. But I’ll move on— not because I want to, but because I have to. And because somewhere out there is someone who won’t make me guess how they feel.

Where’s the best place (literature/websites/etc) to learn how to read birth charts? Do NOT recommend AI! I want to become an astrology femme 😭💕🌞🌙

Please, please, please! 🫶🏾 Interact! Don’t let this app become just another place to dump your camera roll. I’ve been lucky enough to meet amazing people from all over the world who’ve become real friends thanks to Collective. Community is such a big part of being queer, so don’t be shy say hi! xx 💌

Have you ever felt like your life has lost its momentum? A year ago I realized that my life had reached a point where everything was ”just fine”. I had nothing to complain about, we were still happy, but that sense of comfort can be dangerous. As it turns out, it doesn’t take a lot to get things moving in the right direction again, and today I’m living a fuller life than ever before.

I have been feeling melancholic all day because I dreamt I had found this wonderful friendship group and in that weird way dreams can tap directly into your emotions, that friendship was at once deep and genuine and earned. I was telling these friends how much they meant to me in a really vulnerable moment when I was woken abruptly… it was so jarring I wanted to cry as if i’d lost each one of those ‘imaginary’ people. So I have been mourning a dream all day and feel completely silly about it but there it is. 😞 Anyone else experienced something like this?

How would you feel like if a transman came to flirt with you? I feel like a fear of not being seen as a man holds me back a lot from going up to interesting people. How do other transmen cope with this?

Remain true to your values, your standards and your non-negotiables. The wrong people will leave. The right people will stay. Always trust the process. ✨

The art of saying the truth: It’s best when it’s spoken, it’s best even when it feels inconvenient, it’s best even when it feels challenging. The truth challenges us to choose love over fear. And trust that that’s the best we can offer.

For the ones who never felt perfect, the ones who stopped trying to be, and even the ones pretending they already are… Maybe we’re all living the same life in different bodies, carrying the same fears, the same questions, the same longing. We’re just exhausted from acting like our stories are different. The only thing that never lies is the soul. When you’re alone, you can’t hide from it. If you believe we’re walking the same journey, send a signal.

+++ Downloading this was a good idea +++ I remember downloading this a couple of months ago not knowing what it was. Going in felt so weird but so correct, I was finally among my people. As someone who has a lot of issues with social interactions: I’m eternally grateful for all of you (followers/non followers/random ppl who have never heard about me before)… Everyone has been so nice and reassuring, something that I can’t seem to get in other relationships. Collective fam; keep it up, you’re peng.

How to build healthy social media habits and avoid digital burnout Navigating social media in 2026 can feel like a high-speed emotional rollercoaster. One second you’re hitting a dopamine rush from a creative find, and the next you’re in a full-on overstimulated crash-out. Most apps have stopped being social and have instead become "entertainment feeds" designed to keep you scrolling rather than connecting. If you’re looking to get off the ride and actually protect your peace, it’s time to trade the algorithmic cage for a genuine sanctuary. Find a sanctuary that actually sees you It’s no secret that Big Tech platforms like Instagram have a history of suppressing queer content while letting anti-LGBTQ+ noise go unchecked. When the algorithm is the gatekeeper, your self-expression becomes a performance for a machine that doesn't care about you. This is why independent, queer-run spaces are essential. Collective was built to be the antidote to the competitive nature of modern feeds. By removing public like counts and follower tallies, the app shifts the focus away from social capital and back toward real-deal connection. It turns sharing into a form of community building rather than a desperate hunt for validation. Ditching the digital panopticon We’ve all tried setting app limits only to blow past them when the "five more minutes" prompt pops up. In 2026, the real move is the physical boundary. Designating your bedroom as a total screen-free zone is the ultimate act of social hygiene. This means getting an actual alarm clock and treating your bed as a sanctuary for rest, not a place to rot while scrolling through global crises. Some members of the community have even started tethering their phones to a specific charging station in one room so they aren't constantly carrying a portal to the entire world in their pockets. Social fitness requires fresh air The best healthy online habit is knowing when to go offline. High-quality social connection is a medical necessity, and you can’t get that through a screen alone. The move is to use digital tools like Collective to find your village, and then put the phone away to actually go see them. Whether it’s a park yap, a creative trade at a local cafe, or a quiet walk with a doorbell friend, your social battery recharges much faster in the fresh air. Building a social circle takes work, but that work shouldn't happen while you're hunched over a blue-light screen. Start by auditing who you follow. If an account doesn't add to your lore or enrich your skills, it's just digital noise. Clear the clutter and make room for the connections that actually make you feel human.

Here goes another day at a job that doesn’t care about me or value me. I’ll probably end up doing the jobs of at least 4 people today while being one of the lowest paid RVTs. I seriously have a love/hate relationship for this field.

Some days it feels like dating as a gay man is exhausting. Everyone says they want something real, but too often they only want the parts that are convenient. They’ll call you “the one,” then entertain someone else. They’ll tell you they care, then disappear without a conversation. They’ll swear they’re honest while hiding the truth. It’s hard not to question if genuine love is becoming rare when hookups are easier than commitment, and replacing someone is easier than fighting for them. I’m not looking for perfect. I’m looking for someone whose words match their actions. Someone who doesn’t make loyalty feel old-fashioned or honesty feel optional. Maybe I’m asking for the bare minimum. Or maybe that’s exactly why it feels so hard to find. Still… I’d rather wait for something real than settle for someone who only knows how to pretend.

“Trying” I tried. God, I really tried. I texted first, asked questions, leaned in, showed up, hoped. You drifted, answered lightly, kept your distance, closed the door without ever touching the handle. It wasn’t rejection— it was absence.

He’s gonna leave and someday go away. When he comes back, he always knows what to say. I won’t forget his name, not ever, not today, not tomorrow I feel so strange when I feel sorrow. Did I open all his doors? He says it all the time, “I can’t take it anymore.” It’s like a war, sometimes it destroys us, sometimes it keeps us alive. To look for a purpose, always asking the why. I saw his silhouette as he walked away “Finally, he’s done.” Happy, I looked away. He doesn’t know me at all. I don’t even know why I called. Love is destined to make us fall. Falling in love is always the right call. And that’s when I found him. Waiting in the garden, seeing me in contempt! I beg your pardon. This isn’t broken, just bent. There’s still a part of you That knows a part of me I feel it too. Remember we said it was getting serious. Was I truly serious? Or just curious. Now, it is serious. I feel it too. Will I still open the door? He’s said it all before, “I can’t take it anymore.”

Blue Shirt, Blue skies Blue Heart, louder cries. 323; possibilities. Forgot to lean on, opened the door Been aeons, stumbled on the floor Shedding layers of shame Maybe when we’re done, we’ll smell the same. Skin to skin, heart to heart, Two stories wide apart. So, we lay together, Smiling, head to toe shattered. Dreaming, of making this forever. Forever? Like nothing else matters. Two stories apart. Stoned people with stoned hearts. Crippled feelings, leaving scars. Soon, we’ll say goodbye. “Just a couple of months, he’ll move on.” Everything’ll be alright. He has everything, all’s proved on. Now, we lie together. Head to heart shattered. Used to dream, being together for ever? Forever. Nothing else truly mattered. This isn’t poetry. Poetry isn’t this.

A request for sharers of art (and images not of your own creation generally); please try to attribute what you to share to the creator. If you aren’t sure, a quick reverse google image search will do, or often your phone can identify the artist or source of the image. Sharing without attribution robs the creator of credit and even if they’ll never know, it contributes to the commodification of art. If you like someone’s work enough to share it, you like it enough to care and share who made it. ❤️
