I’ve recently been let go from an eight year long career. A career that in many aspects was an identity of mine. I like to see it as a blessing in disguise as I fear that the comfort would have kept me trapped for years to come. Yet, it’s difficult to part ways from something so abruptly and without making peace with the decision before hand. I’m grieving the career that in large part made me who I am today. Any antidotes or recommendations welcome.

Dating in gay culture sucks, I can find people who I attract to. But majority of the time, they don’t commit in getting to know me. Or even messaging first to connect, which is even more annoying when it’s a match. I’m trying so hard not to give out on what I want with love, but each day I try apps or socialize. I can’t seem to get anywhere, because majority rather hookup and move to fast. It’s honestly bloody frustrating. Nature I have a question, when will it be my turn to find genuine love and attraction? In a man of my preference as well as a friend.
